New Carrickfergus childcare nursery to create 14 jobs

17th March 2015

A new childcare nursery is opening in Carrickfergus with the creation of 14 new jobs.

Clare Moore and husband David converted an abandoned warehouse on Woodburn Road in the Co Antrim town into the new nursery, Important Mini People.

Ms Moore, who has 25 years childcare experience, said: “I have already set up three day care nurseries and I have an extensive knowledge of all day care requirements.

“Every child has their own personality, likes, dislikes and interests and they all develop at their own pace,” Ms Moore added.

“At Important Mini People we want to give them as many new and stimulating experiences as we can to develop their knowledge, imagination, and personality.”

The business investment was part-funded by Danske Bank. Business manager Karen Hoey said: “Important Mini People is an exciting addition to the Carrickfergus area. I have been very impressed with Clare and David’s vision for this new facility and their enthusiasm throughout.”
