NEWRY-based Murdock Builder’s Merchants has further expanded its network with the opening of a second branch in Dublin.
The new opening brings the total number of branches operated by Murdock’s to 11 and will create 15 new jobs.
The company, which was established in 1982, employs a team of over 270 staff across Northern Ireland and the new branch will complement Murdock’s existing site in north Dublin. Murdock’s has adapted extensively over the last 10 years.
This has included the extension of its product and service ranges, enabling the business to respond to its changing customer base.
A key factor in the decision to open a second Dublin branch has been to support the building trade’s preference to order and collect materials from a central location.
