A Belfast company which makes medical devices has secured four orders for its new non-contact thermometers.
TriMedika successfully secured these deals at the international trade show Medica in Dusseldorf to sell its high-tech TriTemp devices into German, Swiss and Austrian markets.
The company was founded Julie Brien and Dr Roisin Molloy and saw a £90,000 investment from Invest NI to develop their TriTemp product, which can read temperatures without touching the body.
The company, based at the E3 campus on Belfast’s Springfield Road, has also created seven new jobs.
“As well as securing four new orders we gained additional contacts with distributors for over 35 countries including Europe and the Middle East, which we intend to develop at Arab Health in January 2019,” she said.
Susan O’Kane from Invest NI said: “The results generated demonstrate the global appetite for TriMedika’s innovative medical technology,” she said.
