ENTERPRISE Minister Arlene Foster believes people can develop their careers by joining professional bodies.
She was speaking at a recent event to mark the tenth anniversary of Women in Business NI.
Mrs Foster said: “Women in Business NI members recognise the value of making real business connections. It is essential that to continue to trade locally and attract global investment, we encourage business owners and managers to join membership organisations in order to develop and grow lasting businesses for our future with like-minded business people.”
Roseann Kelly, chief executive of Women in Business NI, said: “Across Northern Ireland more and more women who are seeking to develop their businesses and careers are realising that it is a network they need to be a member of and our peak in membership growth especially in the last two to three years proves this.”
Women in Business NI is the largest and fastest growing business network for female entrepreneurs and business leaders in Northern Ireland. Now in its tenth year, the network has nearly 1,000 members spread throughout all industry sectors.
