Longer Hours

17th September 2013

THE Department of Employment and Careers Resource Centre in Belfast is extending its opening hours to include Thursday evenings.
The Ann Street office will remain open until 8.30pm and appointments will not be necessary.
The Careers Service provides free careers information, advice and guidance to clients of all ages and abilities, whether employed or unemployed.
In July, the Minister launched a pilot scheme at the Careers Resource Centre to provide an additional ‘drop in’ service between 10am and 2pm each Saturday. This was to enable those currently in work to avail of careers services outside their normal working hours.
The pilot will initially operate until January 2013, following which an evaluation will be carried out to determine the scheme’s longer term future.
