Launch of Second CIPD NI Awards

17th February 2014

ENTRY is now open for the 2014 Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Northern Ireland Awards, with Nijobfinder as official media partner.

Excellence across the HR/personnel development profession will be recognised through awards for individuals, teams and organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors.

Following on from the success of the inaugural awards last year, CIPD NI has added two new categories for 2014; Learning and Development Initiative of the Year and Consultant of the Year.

Speaking at the launch on Monday (3) Donal Laverty, chair of CIPD NI, said: “The awards are back due to popular demand. Our inaugural awards were so well received that we just had to run them again. And this time they will be bigger and better.

“The awards will once again recognise initiatives that have transformed business and organisational performance as well as the contribution individuals and teams working in the HR discipline have made to the way people are managed and developed.”

CIPD has more than 3000 members in Northern Ireland, working in businesses and organisations large and small.

Independent News and Media advertising manager, Mark Reilly said: “We are delighted to be involved in these prestigious awards. There’s a great synergy between the awards and Belfast Telegraph Nijobfinder, the number one jobs platform in Northern Ireland.”

Award categories include: Employee Engagement Initiative of the Year; Health and Wellness Initiative of the Year; Change Management Programme of the Year; HR Team of the Year; HR Professional of the Year; Outstanding HR Student of the Year, and there will be a Building HR Capability for the Future Award.

In addition the CIPD Chairman’s Special Achievement Award, chosen by the executive committee of CIPD NI, will once again recognise an individual, team or organisation who has contributed in a significant way to the development of and/or promotion of the HR profession in Northern Ireland.

The 10 awards will be presented at a gala celebration in Larchfield Estate May 15, with recruitment specialists, Brightwater as headline sponsor. Winners on the night will receive trophies designed and created by glass artist Irene McBride from Discovery Glass, Comber.

The closing date for entries is March 21 and full information can be found at www.cipdniawards.co.uk.
