MORE than 400 people at the Belfast office of global law firm Allen & Overy (A&O) are gearing up to laugh, drum and cycle through innovative challenges to promote health and resilience in the workplace.
The programme is part of the firm’s Wellbeing Week. Events include free massages, alternative therapies involving laughter and drumming; and a week-long challenge inviting staff to collectively cycle the distance between A&O’s Belfast office and its headquarters in London, some 456 miles.
The firm is also giving free access to mindfulness sessions and support for staff encountering personal or professional difficulty. Patricia Rogers, head of the A&O’s Support Services Centre in Belfast said: “A big part of our strategy looks to attract high calibre people and provide a workplace where they can be confident and able to express themselves and make a meaningful input to our global operation.”
