TWENTY-nine businesses from across Northern Ireland are celebrating additional accreditation at gold, silver and bronze levels against the prestigious Investors in People (IiP) framework.
Dr Stephen Farry, Minister for Employment and Learning, congratulated the organisations that received the business award at a celebration event held in Belfast Castle.
The minister said: “This is indeed a special occasion as it marks just the second ever event to celebrate the additional accreditation that organisations in Northern Ireland have attained against the Investors in People framework. We know that organisations that invest in their people are much more likely to survive tough times. It is clear that those receiving additional IiP recognitions are continuing to invest in their people and seeing the business benefits of doing so.
“The message for those achieving first time recognition has always been the same — Investors in People recognition is not the end but, rather, part of a process of continuous improvement. Your accomplishments indicate that your organisations are not just prepared to attain the core IiP standard but are willing to go beyond this and challenge yourselves for additional achievements and extra success. If you develop the skills of your employees, success will follow.”
Helen Mulholland, Ireland’s only female master blender from Bushmills Distillery which received gold accreditation, said: “While previously we achieved IiP status, I am delighted that we have now been awarded the gold standard reinforcing and recognising our great people and showcasing their passion, professionalism and pride in Bushmills. We can only get great business results through the combined efforts of our people; who are our greatest asset.”
