TWENTY Year 10 boys from Corpus Christi School will have their work displayed at the Ulster Museum.
The third form pupils have been part of a pilot partnership project with the Ulster Museum and Belfast Education and Library Board. Entitled ‘Imagine Still Life’, they created drawings, collages and sculptures inspired by the painting of William Scott.
Throughout January, the boys worked with artists Jayne Cherry, Susan McKeever and Jim Russell to help develop their skills in drawing, collage-making and sculpting. The project culminated with an event celebrating their work at the Ulster Museum, attended by representatives from BELB and CCEA.
The project was coordinated by the Ulster Museum’s Head of Learning and Partnership, Colleen Watters, who described the boys’ work as ‘outstanding’. The boys’ work will be exhibited in Discover Art at the Ulster Museum until March 2.
