Entries open for CIPD NI Awards 2017

1st February 2017

NORTHERN Ireland’s HR profession is gearing up to celebrate its achievements once again.

The annual CIPD Northern Ireland Awards, which showcase excellence in the industry, were recently launched at a breakfast event in Belfast Castle.

Speaking at the launch head of CIPD Scotland and Northern Ireland, John McGurk said:

“Dealing with change, building resilience and managing excellence through our people is key. The annual CIPD Northern Ireland awards are a celebration of this. It’s all about improving people development.”

Encouraging both organisations and individuals to enter, he also said the awards ensure Northern Ireland’s HR and personnel development professionals gain recognition for the quality of the work and innovation they are delivering across the private, public and voluntary sectors.

Pete Feldman, Managing Director of Grafton Recruitment, pointed out: “The awards are a great showcase for the work that’s done in the industry here. It’s important for us to learn from each other and celebrate in each other’s successes. It’s about telling your stories and supporting the industry. And we are delighted to be headline sponsor of the awards.”

At the launch event the large group of attendees also heard from Kilkeel-based B/E Aerospace who won the HR Team of the Year prize in 2016.

The HR team for the company, which is the world’s leading manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior products, provided attendees with an overview of how to write a successful entry and what winning a CIPD Northern Ireland award meant to them.

CIPD, the professional association for HR management professionals, has more than 3,000 members in Northern Ireland. Belfast Telegraph Nijobfinder is the official media partner of the CIPD Northern Ireland Awards 2017.

Entries for the 2017 awards are now open. The closing date for entries to this year’s awards is March 20. Log on to www.cipdniawards.co.uk for further information.
