Employment and Learning Minister Stephen Farry has offered his congratulations to those involved with the inaugural Northern Ireland Science Festival.
The 11-day event, which took place in venues throughout Northern Ireland, set two new world records, with the highest attendance at a Turing Lecture and the largest ever simultaneous science lesson.
The Minister said: “The first science festival has been hugely successful and surpassed all expectations. Early indications are that audiences are more than triple what was predicted, with over 30,000 people attending events.”
