QUEEN’S University’s biggest ever graduate recruitment and placement fair took place earlier this week.
The three-day event saw more than 200 employers promoting graduate jobs, training schemes and internships to potential employees.
The itinerary for the recruitment fair was broken into the following three categories: business and finance; engineering, science and technology, and law and legal-related.
Sponsored by EY, this year’s event featured a raft of new employers showcasing at the event including Eir, Aer Lingus, ESB, FP McCann, Quinn Building Products and McAleer and Rushe.
The interest in recruitment fairs held at Queen’s ref lects the university’s highly successful rate of graduate employment.
The latest HESA employment indicator reveals that 94.6 per cent of Queen’s graduates are in employment/ further education six months after graduating, an improvement on last year’s indicator of 93.8 per cent.
This improvement is also ref lected in the Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016 which ranks Queen’s as 28th for graduate prospects with a score of 78.7 per cent, an improvement on the previous score of 75.1 per cent and ranking of 32nd.
