A Co Tyrone building company says it is luring Northern Irish talent back from abroad as it looks to expand in the future.
QMAC in Donaghmore said its 12 new hires included people who have worked on landmark international projects such as the Shard in London and the Kingdom Tower in the Middle East.
The firm, which was founded by husband and wife team Peter and Rhona Quinn, has also recruited a new managing director.
It said it had won new contracts and was planning to take on more staff.
New managing director Eddie O’Neill said: “Our strategic plan is centred around setting ourselves apart from our competitors, opening up new markets and increasing our market share in Northern Ireland.
“Our philosophy is underpinned by the company’s commitment to quality in absolutely everything that we do.”
Rhona Quinn, who is also president of the Construction Employers Federation, said: “QMAC has maintained a steady workload over the last few years despite the severe challenges of the recession and, in 2014, we took the decision to invest in the long-term growth of the company.”
The firm has also opened up a second facility in Belfast as part of its investment programme.
It now employs 47 people and works in a range of sectors.
