MINISTER for Employment and Learning Stephen Farry has pledged to support people with disabilities in the work-place. Speaking at an event in organised by the Equality Commission, he said:
“We all have a responsibility to provide everyone with the opportunity and support to give them the best possible chance to avail of employment and other opportunities life has to offer.”
“My department also has a range of programmes and services to help people with disabilities progress towards: find and retain employment, and these can be accessed through the Disability Employment Service or through specially trained employment advisers in local Jobs and Benefits offices.”
