Northern Ireland’s HR profession have been rewarded for their outstanding work at the eighth annual Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development Northern Ireland Awards, which this year took place in a virtual format, hosted by television personality Pamela Ballantine.
The CIPD NI HR Awards are the most prestigious and highly regarded awards for the HR profession in Northern Ireland.
This year’s awards comprised of 12 categories, covering all aspects of HR and L&D, rewarding both individuals and teams who are having a significant impact in championing better work and working lives in Northern Ireland.
CIPD Chief Executive, Peter Cheese said: “The past six months have really put HR in the spotlight and people professionals have worked really hard to support our people and help our organisations to adapt and innovate in these really difficult times. This is a great time to celebrate your successes and the successes of us as a profession, and all the work that we do across the Northern Ireland business community and in society more broadly.”
Head of CIPD Scotland and Northern Ireland, Lee Ann Panglea said: “The CIPD NI HR Awards are a key event in the Northern Ireland business calendar, and while obviously it’s very disappointing for everyone that we couldn’t hold this year’s awards in person, we hope that our digital ceremony still had the excitement and anticipation that our winners deserved.
“Congratulations to everyone who was shortlisted this year, many thanks to our headline sponsor MCS Group our media partner nijobfinder and all our sponsors and our judges, and huge congratulations to all of our winners.”
Members, Networks and Communities Manager for CIPD Northern Ireland, Avril Anderson commented: “The judges were hugely impressed with the standard of entries this year which is testament to the incredible work that people professionals are delivering in Northern Ireland. Many thanks to everyone who entered, and we look forward to hearing even more amazing stories next year, reflecting the pivotal role that people professionals are having in managing their organisations’ response to the pandemic.”
Congratulating the winners Ryan Calvert, Head of HR Recruitment, UK and Ireland, from headline sponsors MCS Group, said: “Northern Ireland is rich with HR talent, and MCS is delighted to continue our support for the CIPD NI HR Awards, recognising the very best individuals and teams for their outstanding work, celebrating the impact they are having on their organisations and importantly, the people that work in them.
