Time is running out for Northern Ireland’s HR practitioners to enter the inaugural Chartered Institute of Personnel Development NI (CIPD NI) Awards.
The closing date for entries to the awards, which are aimed at celebrating excellence in local HR practice, is March 29.
Vice Chair of CIPD NI and chair of the judging panel, Stephanie McCutcheon, said the eight categories reflect HR professionals’ depth of involvement and expertise within Northern Ireland’s companies and organisations.
The awards will recognise initiatives that have transformed business and organisational performance as well as the contribution individuals and teams working in the HR discipline have made to the way people are managed and developed.
Encouraging all potential nominees to enter, CIPD NI Chairman, Donal Laverty said:
“Anybody from any sector -public, private or voluntary- can apply. Given the current economic situation human resource professionals have been involved with a lot of change over the last three or four years. There are a lot of organisations out there who have restructured and changed direction.
The strategy of an organisation will often be delivered by human resources – bringing new people in or upskilling existing employees – these awards are meant to identify and recognise best practise within the Northern Ireland business community across all sectors.”
The CIPD, which is marking its centenary this year, has over 3000 members in Northern Ireland, working across the private, public and voluntary sectors in businesses and organisations large and small.
Stephanie said the awards will provide local practitioners with a platform to highlight their innovation and expertise.
And, she added, they are also aimed at inspiring peers and the wider business and organisational community about what can be achieved through personnel development.
Entries for the CIPD NI Awards will close at 5pm on March 29. For further information log on to www.cipdniawards.co.uk. All completed applications should be sent via email to applications@cipdniawards.co.uk.
