Belfast is moving forward. Make the journey with Abacus.

Living away from Northern Ireland and thinking of relocating back?

Abacus Professional Recruitment are launching a targeted initiative to inform those originally from N.Ireland and now living in Dublin to ‘Bring Your Talent Home’.

Abacus who specialise in recruitment of Accountants, Lawyers and IT Professionals are working in partnership with a number of prominent businesses that have made significant job announcements in recent months. Firms like Augentius, Allen & Overy, Liberty Insurance, EY, Axiom Law, Product Earth Solutions, A&L Goodbody and Relay Software have all made significant announcements to increase their work force in 2016 and beyond are involved.

Belfast is currently thriving with optimism, investment and jobs. Local companies are rapidly expanding, creating thousands of new job opportunities. This in turn has a growing economy for Belfast, with numerous companies seeking to appoint top talent.
Named #BelfastforLife this initiative aims to highlight the world-class job opportunities that exist locally, as well as all the positive aspects of living and working in N.Ireland.

At Abacus we want to share the prosperity that Belfast has to offer by hosting an event in Dublin. The event will be orientated towards Accountancy & Finance Professionals, Legal Professionals and IT & Analytics Professionals. If you are from ‘the North’ and currently based around Dublin and thinking of returning to live and work in Belfast this is a great event for you. Join the Abacus team on March 16th at The Spencer Hotel between 4pm and 7pm for a chat, a drink and some nibbles. Find out what the job market has to offer and watch recorded videos from some of Northern Ireland’s top businesses.

With this in mind it’s the perfect opportunity to attend the event and consider a move back to the North. Justin Rush, Director at Abacus states that “The demand for professionally qualified staff in Accountancy & Finance, Legal and IT sectors locally is significant. Recent job announcements have really boosted confidence within the marketplace. At Abacus we felt the need to generate awareness of this demand to potential recruits locally and those that are based outside of Northern Ireland”.

Mr Rush also referenced the opinions of his clients who are increasing servicing global entities, “Professionals from N.Ireland that are working in London, Dublin, Europe or North America or further afield are viewed as highly attractive prospects due to the international experience that they have gained and the extra knowledge they bring to specialist teams.”

“With record job creation, outstanding quality of life, low cost of living and a superb education system now is the time to return to Europe’s trendiest city Belfast.” This event will provide a superb opportunity for potential returners to learn about the growth plans, the type of people and skills these businesses look for when recruiting, and the success they have had in appointing returners and re-locators to their teams. This is a chance to gain insight and perspective from some of the biggest employers of professional staff in N. Ireland.

The Abacus team will be present at The Spencer Hotel, Excise Walk, IFSC, Dublin 1, Ireland on March 16th to engage with individuals seeking advice to return to N.Ireland.
