The results saw seven Northern Ireland students placed in the global top 20, including Magdalena Ryan who achieved first place in Ireland and eleventh in the world in the F6 — Taxation (UK) paper out of 24,853 students who sat the paper globally.

While Mairead Hardy came second place in Ireland and fifth in the world in the P3 – Business Analysis paper out of 23,699 students globally.

Joan Ballantine said: “We are delighted that Northern Ireland continues to produce a high calibre of accountancy students year-on-year and these great results will only add to the highly skilled young people in the accounting sector that exists here.
