Accolade a tribute to Allstate’s work in the community

ALLSTATE Northern Ireland was recently recognised as the Belfast business of the year.

Receiving the accolade from the Belfast Business Top 50 for its outstanding contribution to the city in 2015, the award celebrated Allstate NI for providing more than 1,300 high-end IT jobs in Belfast and supporting the local community through numerous corporate social responsibility programs.

The business is a centre for software development, covering the full software life cycle of design, development, maintenance and support.

In recent years, Allstate NI has expanded into newer technologies with major investment for in-house development centres that have created jobs and brought opportunities for other business in the region.

Commenting on the win executive vice president, Allstate Technology & Strategic Ventures for Allstate Insurance Company, Suren Gupta, said: “Winning the Belfast Business of the Year is important recognition for Allstate Northern Ireland that ref lects our firm commitment to the community and the people of Belfast. It’s our employees who made this possible and this latest honour underscores the high quality of talent available in Northern Ireland.

Allstate’s centre has grown significantly since it opened in 1999 and we are proud of the partnership we’ve forged with local leaders and the area’s workforce to bolster the local economy and make important contributions in the community.”

The Belfast Business Top 50 awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of Northern Ireland businesses that have delivered exceptional results in a number of key areas.

Now in their 11th year, the awards are held in association with The Homecoming and Belfast One City Conference 2015.
