A Portadown manufacturing firm is creating six new jobs amid a £600,000 expansion.
Dawson Manufacturing and Engineering is growing its base by around 40% – and is adding the new posts along with laser cutting machinery.
The firm currently employs 30 people and its clients include food and catering firms, health trusts as well as those in the pharmaceutical sector.
Co-founder Colin Dawson said the latest investment will increase the size of its premises to over 20,000 sq ft.
“The enlarged premises and workforce will enable us to continue to increase our client-base and to bring laser cutting in-house, therefore allowing us to further improve efficiency and to reduce lead-times,” he said.
The firm has undertaken the expansion with help from Ulster Bank.
