A Lisburn-based company has been awarded four major contracts to develop and deliver its bespoke ‘smart building technologies’ to the super-prime, residential developments currently under construction in London’s West End.
Worth in excess of £10.5million, the new business wins put OKTO on track to reach its £70million turnover target, and triple its workforce, by 2025.
The wins also reflect OKTO’s recent expansion to include an in-house BCIA registered Building Management System (BMS) engineering team as part of its core service offering.
Awarded by some of the world’s top property developers, the new contracts will result in OKTO’s specialist BMS technologies seamlessly controlling the environmental and lifestyle systems in the ultra-luxury residences – which sell for up to £100million per home. This includes everything from lighting and climate to AV and IT systems – and will ultimately appear as if the home has a virtual ‘butler’ which thinks and acts on behalf of its occupier.
The contracts include the provision of Lifestyle Technology Systems Integration for 25 new apartments and penthouses at The Peninsula Hotel & Residences where OKTO has been appointed by the Hong Kong & Shanghai Hotel Group, along with Prime Developments and leading UK contractor, Sir Robert McAlpine.
In an industry first, OKTO’s BMS technology will deliver robust future proof systems via pre-installed Al-based infrastructure across each of the ultra-luxury apartments.
The second contract win is for Mayfair Park Residences, serviced and managed as part of the neighbouring Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane. Appointed by the luxury developer, Clivedale London, OKTO will design and install all home automation and AV technology across the development’s 23 luxury apartments.
In the same development, OKTO will install its technology in an extensive triplex penthouse overlooking Hyde Park – one of the largest to be developed in Central London.
Finally, OKTO has been appointed by the CPC Group, owned by the renowned luxury property developer Christian Candy, to deliver its full suite of building technology systems to Duke’s Lodge, the largest new residential development in Holland Park.
