2nd April 2019

A Number of teaching roles across the secondary education sector have entered the job market this week.

They include nine posts as Methodist College for the new academic year in September.

Among the roles are temporary and permanent posts and part-time and full-time contracts. They span sciences, maths, religious education, languages, English and home education departments.

In Holywood, Co Down, Sullivan Upper is looking for a head of physics and a teacher of geography to GCSE and AS-Level. And a school on the Island of Jersey is searching for teaching professionals from NI to relocate for one of two roles now available at its De La Salle College.

The posts include a teacher of mathematics and a teacher of English. Both offer a salary between £35,975 and £53, 078 with “a generous relocation package.” Meanwhile, in healthcare the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT) has a number of social worker posts available. They include roles that specialise in children, adult mental health, older people and disability and acute services.

More information on the posts will be made available at a social work recruitment day on May 3 at the Seagoe Parish Centre in Portadown where potential candidates can meet with social work practitioners and managers. SHSCT also requires an assistant head of estates development and capital work with a salary of up to £49,000. The postholder will be based at Craigavon Area Hospital. And the Northern Health and Social Care Trust is seeking a consultant physician with an interest in care of the elderly. The post will be based at the Causeway Hospital.
