Clive Selley, CEO BT Innovate & Design welcomed the latest intake of new graduate entrants to BT.
Twenty people have begun their careers with the BT Innovate & Design team, whose role is to design and develop the technology and processes that sit at the core of the networks and platforms that run BT’s business world-wide.
The global development centre which has just completed a major refurbishment programme has been based in Belfast since 1981. Currently the centre offers employment to over 200 people locally, mainly on software development projects working in conjunction with BT’s other developments centres around the world.
This latest recruitment drive is in addition to BT’s formal apprenticeship programme which has been in existence for more than 50 years. In the last three years in Northern Ireland alone 35 new apprentices have been recruited into positions right across the business in IT, Engineering, Finance and Customer Service.
