ANIMAL management/care students from South Eastern Regional College’s (SERC) Lisburn campus recently have taken part in a volunteer day at the RSPB.
As part of the launch for the SERC Volunteer Programme, the students visited the Portmore Lough RSPB Conservation site in Craigavon.
Olivia Kennedy, SERC enterprise and entrepreneurship manager, said: “With the job market becoming difficult volunteering is a great way to help students get the edge.
“Volunteering has many benefits; it’s a tool for personal development, it will assist in influencing career choices and open up a range of exciting opportunities. Employers and college admissions officers look favourably on time spent in volunteer service.”
