IFA’s perfect match for fantasy football

21st June 2016

A BELFAST start-up has partnered with the Irish Football Association (IFA) to create the official IFA Fantasy Football game for Euro 2016.

Created by Steven McComb, founder of online social gaming platform Unique 11, GAWA Fantasy Football allows Northern Ireland football fans to get closer to the action, creating and managing their dream teams, whilst pitting their chosen squad against friends and other players in an online competition. Since the game was launched, almost 1,300 people have already signed up to play, with thousands more local and international fans expected to follow as the excitement of the tournament unfolds.

Entrepreneur Steven, who is currently a participant on the Invest Northern Ireland Propel Programme, is thrilled with the progress so far. He said: “It’s an enormous privilege to have been selected to collaborate with the IFA during such an exciting time for local football, and I’m very much looking forward to see how the competition unfolds, online and on the pitch.”
