SMITH’S Engineering Works (NI) Ltd is recruiting 12 new staff thanks to an expansion at its Ballymena premises.
The £868,000 development scheme will allow the firm to target new customers and sectors and will bring the total workforce to 38 by the end of 2015.
Commenting on the expansion plans and giving thanks to Invest NI for their £48,000 investment, Smith’s Engineering Works managing director Darwin Smith said: “Invest NI support has helped us to broaden our horizons in recent years and exploit our engineering expertise to target new customers and sectors.
“We have identified opportunities in a number of sectors and are now investing to ensure we have the infrastructure and skills needed.”
