Newry insurance broker Autoline has announced 60 new jobs paying an average of £25,000 as it aims for markets in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Autoline Insurance Group, a personal and business insurer, is embarking on a multi-million pound investment plan over the next four years.
Enterprise Minister Arlene foster said the company’s success had been “built on innovation”.
It was the first broker in Europe to launch an app that offered insurance premium discounting directly linked to driving behaviour.
The new jobs will bring the company’s total workforce to more than 200. Invest NI is contributing around £390,000 in support for the jobs.
Autoline managing director Michael Blaney said: “Since developing our app we have become a leading player in the telematics insurance industry. This will give us a valuable commodity that we can sell on to other insurers and brokers.”
The new jobs will mainly be based at company headquarters in Newry though there will be other opportunities in branches at Ballymena, Coleraine, Downpatrick and Enniskillen.
