SIX Engineers from one of the world’s largest automotive component manufacturers, Montupet, have completed a bespoke electrical engineering training course delivered by SERC.
Working in partnership with the engineering team at Montupet the college designed and delivered a bespoke Level 1 apprenticeship in electrical engineering aimed at improving self-sufficiency in job assessment and up-skilling existing employees for business improvements.
The course was designed by Montupet in conjunction with SERC and was tailored to meet the specific needs of the company.
The six-week course, which was delivered at the college’s Lisburn campus, involved on-the-job handling assessments as well as classroom based learning in a wide range of modules related to electrical inspection, testing and commissioning, fault diagnosis and rectification and testing electrical equipment and circuits.
