Northern Ireland’s rich past will provide the raw material for 12 young historians who have secured places on the much sought after Collections Skills Initiative.
The training programme is run by the Northern Ireland Museums Council in partnership with the National Museums Northern Ireland for those seeking to develop a career in the sector.
This is the second year of the scheme and two-thirds of last year’s cohort have already secured work.
Each bursary holder will receive specialist training and undertake a project at one of the 10 participating museums, including Derry Heritage and Museum Service, Mid-Antrim Museum, FE McWilliam Gallery, Newry Museum and Mount Stewart.
