A new car dealership has opened in Belfast, creating 15 new jobs.
RMG Motors said it has invested more than £1m in the Boucher Crescent outlet – the city’s only Subaru and MG showroom.
As well as a champagne reception at the showroom to herald the launch, the company hosted two family fun days at the weekend, with competitions, test drive opportunities and kids’ activities.
Chris Keene, general manager of RMG Motors, said it was an exciting time to be launching a new dealership. “Motorists in Northern Ireland are very knowledgeable and there is a great interest here in MG and Subaru models. We have no doubt that, despite the current difficult economic conditions, this dealership will be a success,” he added.
The marketing director of Subaru UK, Kenyon Neads, said: “Our sure-footed line-up has long been popular with customers in Northern Ireland and we’re delighted that RMG can join us at such an exciting time for the brand.
“With an outstanding reputation locally and exciting new product, the future is looking bright for both RMG and Subaru.”
Guy Jones, MG Motor UK’s director of sales and marketing said: “MG has always had a great following in Northern Ireland and we are sure that, with all the hard work that RMG are putting into this venture, that MG customers will be well served.”
