Direct Medics is actively seeking a dedicated Trainer to join our dynamic and growing training team. In this role, you will take charge of delivering Mandatory & CPD training programs to healthcare professionals. Direct Medics is a leading healthcare recruitment agency, with a track record in placing Nursing and Healthcare Assistants, as well as a range Allied Health professionals within the public and private sectors.

Our approach is simple and focused – to develop positive long-term partnerships with our healthcare professionals and clients, from registration services and advice through to relocation and aftercare all tailored to individual needs.

The role requires a registered healthcare/ allied healthcare professional with experience of teaching or sharing practice in a clinical setting. We are looking for a professional who is able empower and develop trainees through various training styles to ensure healthcare standards and guidelines are achieved. You will be tasked to deliver multidisciplinary clinical skills training (mandatory & CPD) on topics including; BLS, Moving & Handling, Fire Safety and upskilling. Travel will be involved throughout NI and ROI.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver a variety of highly interactive and engaging training interventions, in face-to-face and hybrid settings, while maintaining a high level of energy throughout delivery

· Develop and update training materials and resources, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in accordance with regulations and best practice and development

· To drive innovation by monitoring, evaluating, and using the resources available to enhance the training programs and ensure alignment with the business strategy

· Be flexible and adaptive when providing support and information to course delegates to ensure they achieve the required learning outcomes

· Lead on deliveries, and work with subject matter experts to design effective training interventions

· Develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify current and future training needs

· Maintain accurate records of training including session feedback, attendance, and evaluations

· Work with the Training team to continuously improve the programmes and build a portfolio of new training materials

· Show flexibility regarding travel as required to deliver face-to-face training courses

· Collaborate with other departments to identify training needs across various teams, including corporate and operational teams

Qualifications and Skills:

· Ability to demonstrate training delivery and completing skills analysis

· Experience engaging and motivating learning through effective adult teaching methodologies and presentational tools to diverse audiences

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organisational and time management skills

· An effective understanding of the training cycle, with experience in assessing competency requirements and developing training programmes to address training needs

· Experience working collaboratively within an evolving industry, gaining stakeholder confidence through understanding goals, motivations and credibility

· Proficiency in using MS Office (e.g. PowerPoint)

· Flexibility to travel as needed for on-site training sessions

Qualifications:

· Relevant degree or equivalent qualification(s) in Healthcare and/or Allied Healthcare

· Train-the-trainer qualification or equivalent teaching qualification (desired however certification can be provided if you do not have this)

· A qualified professional with at least 2 years’ experience (band 4 or above)

Licence/ Certification:

· Registration with a registered body (e.g. NMC, GMC, HCPC)
