We are growing our Informatics Team at NI Ambulance Service and are recruiting for
an Information Governance Officer.
This role would suit a graduate with experience with data or
records management or working with Freedom of Information requests. Or a candidate looking to step up who has a
minimum of 4 years’ experience in an information governance function including
freedom of information, data protection and records management, 2 years of
which must be at Band 4.
This post is based at Head Office in Knockbracken Health Care
Park, Belfast. It is full time Mon Fri
– 1700. Salary set £14.53ph.
Initial 6 month contract open to extension and permanent opportunities.
JOB SUMMARY
To ensure the Trust meets its requirements under the Freedom
of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) and Environmental Information Regulations 2004
(EIR). Develop staff training and
awareness sessions, review and update the Trust’s publication scheme and manage
the FOI and EIR request handling using the relevant software to ensure
compliance with the statutory timeframes.
To act as a web editor to ensure the Trust website has
relevant, up to date and accurate information as identified in the Publication
Scheme,
To provide support in ensuring the Trust meets its
requirements under the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and in relation to the
processing of subject access requests, Police and Solicitor requests.
Support as directed in liaising with Managers and staff
across the Trust to ensure that Corporate Record Management policies and
procedures are adhered to and implemented.
The Information Governance Officer will work within the
Information Department. The Department
has workflow responsibilities including Information Governance, Informatics and
Clinical Audit functions
