Ulster Museum - Administration Assistant

Front of House Assistants are responsible for delivering a positive
and customer focused experience to welcome a diverse range of
visitors to the Museum. Working across the welcome area,
admission point, orientation points and the shop, the role represents
the first and last point of contact for visitors and therefore individuals
are acting as advocates and representatives of the National Museum
NI purpose and values.
Skills and requirements -
A minimum of 2 GCSE’s at Grade C or above in Maths and English
(or equivalent) AND 6 months experience working in a customer
service role within a fast paced, public-facing environment OR 1
years’ experience working in a customer service role within a fast
paced, public-facing environment.
Enthusiasm and passion for delivering exceptional customer service
to a wide-range of people.
Experience of utilising an online bookings and admission system or
computerised retail till system.
Experience of working within a similar environment with high
customer numbers.
Experience of working within a team, and as an individual within a
team, demonstrating a high level of self-motivation.
Previous experience of cash-handling, counting cash and reconciling
takings.
Experience of effectively utilising a range of IT tools and computer
programmes such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
Availability to work flexible hours within a rota system including
weekends, evenings and bank & public holidays.
