Senior Quantity Surveyor
We are currently working with a specialist mechanical engineering contractor, who due to continued success are experiencing a period of growth and are seeking to add a Senior QS to their team in Newry. Working within and outside the organisation, you will bring commercial acumen, knowledge and strong negotiating skills, striving to ensure the best outcome for the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all commercial aspects of company projects, including cost control, budget management, and subcontractor management.
- Conduct accurate and detailed cost estimates, procurement, and tender processes.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximizing project profitability.
- Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
Person Specification:
- Extensive proven experience in a Senior QS or similar position.
- Strong understanding of contracts and relevant regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis.
