Financial Controller - £5 - £6 per annum - Belfast

One of the divisions requires an experienced commercially focused accountant to take control of the finance function and assist the business to grow its profitability.

Your new role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Financial Controller to join a busy and successful group of businesses. Working in the as part of a larger group and established finance team to develop and provide a commercial view across your own division in the group. Support the Managing Director and Commercial and Operations Managers, you will provide a robust accounting function service. You will be a Financial Business Partner supporting the decision-making process.

• Work with the SMT to develop, improve and establish the suite of business reports and KPIs.
• Work with the operational teams to build out a profitability model for each piece of work / product, building a budget and tracking the progress and profitability.
• Managing pricing, margin & promotional strategy
• Deliver the budgeting, forecasting, and planning process and identifying key risks and opportunities for business.
• Tracking the WIP to ensure profitability and budgets are met.
• Supporting senior teams to create growth strategies and plans and acting as a business partner to the senior management team, providing strategic, analytical and business support.
• Creating detailed Excel models to produce strategic financial analysis that will inform decisions, visualise trends, costings per product and monitor status.
• Lead a small team of finance professionals to deliver a robust accounting process and reduce risk.
• Cashflow Management includes return on investment appraisals on spending.
• Cost Management and reviewing and approving return on investment.
• Review and develop current accounting processes to bring efficiencies into the business.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an accountant with experience of providing financial business partnering services to Senior Management.

Dependent on your experience, you will depend on a competitive salary of between £5 - £6 per annum and a competitive remuneration package.
