MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a Large Public Sector Organisation in their search for a Mechanical and Electrical Estates Officer. The role of the Officer supports Maintenance Team Manager, Building Surveyors and Capital Project Officers in Implementation and day to day management of the mechanical and electrical maintenance.
The role:
- Provide expert technical advice on electrical and mechanical engineering services.
- Conduct surveys and reports on building conditions, recommending maintenance and replacements.
- Coordinate maintenance activities for cost-effective solutions and oversee outsourced services.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and contracts, including proper contractor management.
- Monitor safety and functionality of electrical and mechanical systems in council properties.
- Manage projects and contracts, ensuring adherence to budgets and time-lines.
- Liaise with stakeholders, participate in meetings, and provide technical support as needed.
The person:
- A third level qualification (i.e. HNC/HND, Level 4, Degree ) in line with the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) in a relevant discipline/subject such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services OR
- Hold full corporate membership for one or more of the following professional bodies - Institute of Mechanical Engineers; Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers; Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.
- At least 3 year's experience within a property management environment.
- Hold full current Drivers License.
