Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Our clients are global leaders in their field, providing secure products and services across financial sector, based in Mallusk, Newton Abbey, Northern Ireland. G+D are looking to recruit a rotation-based Electro- Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Team to work on planned maintenance and reactive breakdown repair of Production equipment. Lone working within a secure environment, customer facing, only representative of on the sites.
The electro-mechanical engineer will be required to work with the other engineer on rotating weekly shifts (06:00 – 14:00 and 07:00 – 15:00) and be involved with the servicing, repair and physical installation requirements on site. All associated administrative duties such as repair logs and stock movements must be completed to a high standard and in a professional manner. The sites operates on a single-shift Monday to Friday basis, and therefore Production equipment availability is paramount. The successful candidate must be able to work to tight timeframes in a safe and responsible manner, have a quick & analytical mindset and be able to apply fixes to ensure equipment downtime is minimised.
Electro Mechanical Engineer Position Overview
- Safe and considered methods of working.
- Servicing / planned maintenance of Production equipment.
- Reactive repair of Production equipment.
- Assistance in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Fault finding and root cause analysis.
- Effective hand-over of repaired equipment to Production Operators.
- Management of stock.
- Completion of all required paperwork.
- Ensuring adherence to manufacturer's specifications and other regulatory bodies,
Electro Mechanical Engineer Position Requirements
- Formal Electrical/Mechanical qualification desired.
- Experience carrying out fault finding on electrical circuits (inc. single phase HV kit).
- Mechanical maintenance experience essential (motors, gears, encoders, bearings, clutches, etc.)
- In-depth control systems knowledge and understanding highly desirable.
- Computer literate – Windows, excel, word etc. A knowledge of DOS would be advantageous but not essential.
Electro Mechanical Engineer Position Remuneration
- Salary £35 - £40k inclusive of “flexibility allowance” (DOE).
- 25 days' holiday + Bank holidays.
- Pension (5 - 8.5% depending on age) – can contribute.
- Discretionary bonus in place.
- Death in service benefit (4 years annual salary).
- Company sick pay in place – First 3 days unpaid.
- Long service awards 10 and 25 years.
