We are seeking to recruit a Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking company specialising in bespoke equipment and systems for the FMCG sector. Based at their facility in Newtownards, you will join a business that is committed to innovation and design, develop, and manufacture solutions that exceed our clients’ expectations.

Your new role
In your new role of Design Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of creating bespoke machinery and fabrications for the FMCG sector. Your primary responsibility will be translating customer requirements into practical designs that meet their unique needs. Whether it’s collaborating with customers on-site to measure up and determine specifications or ensuring manufacturability, your work will directly impact the success of our projects. You’ll produce meticulous production drawings and work closely with our production team to address any design-related challenges. Accurate documentation will be essential for maintaining design records.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing the Design Engineer role, you should be coming with a minimum of 5 years' experience in Machine Building/Designing. Ideally, we are seeking candidates with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. We are looking for candidates with experience in design engineering, machine design, and mechanical engineering with skills in SolidWorks or similar. You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
