Your new role
Reporting to the Accounts Office Manager and Finance Director, you will carry out a range of practical accounting tasks within the accounts payable, accounts receivable and accounts preparation functions. Main duties & responsibilities include:
- Purchase Order administration for all site & office staff
- Document management of invoices and statements.
- Reviewing GRN’s and Purchase Orders on accounting package
- Inputting invoice information onto accounts package
- Costing invoices on Invoice Register
- Reconciling creditor statements
- Liaising with suppliers in resolving queries.
- Reconciliations of company bank accounts.
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts
- Preparing and reviewing quarterly stock results
- Statutory statistical returns
- Provide cover for the payroll officer in times of absence
- Raising sales invoices and chasing overdue debtors
- General office duties deemed necessary by senior management
- Maintain confidentiality of all company information
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum of at least 2 years’ current experience of working in an accounts role
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs graded C or above, which must include Maths and English (or relevant equivalent) but preferably IATI qualified (or relevant equivalent)
- Purchase Ledger experience – processing a high volume of invoices monthly
- IT proficient to include experience of using accounting software
- Organising and prioritising with the ability to multitask
- Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Professional integrity and confidentiality
- Competent verbal and written communicator
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team
- Ability to meet deadlines
