VANRATH are working with a local company that has contracts with some of the best-known brands in Europe. They require a welder (MIG/TIG) to join the team to assist the fabrication team at their site in Newry.
What’s in it for you?
- £14-£18 per hour
- Overtime available
- DAY SHIFT – Mon-Thurs 7am-4pm Fri 7am-1pm
Duties
- Perform extremely tidy and precise TIG welding on various sheet metal, metal components and structures
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications
- Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG welders and Laser Welder
- Clean and prepare surfaces for welding by removing rust, dirt, and debris
- Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications
- Assemble fabricated metal parts using various welding techniques
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
Criteria
- Proven ability and able to pass a TIG welding test
- Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding principles
- At least 3 years’ experience
