Finance Manager – Reporting to FD, Leading FTSE 250

Belfast (Hybrid)

£60-65k plus 15% performance based plus excl benefits package

Our client started their journey in the science, technology, engineering and manufacturing sector many years ago and have grown to boast over 500 employees. They have maintained their finance function in Belfast with a local FD and a team of 9 in the operations accounts team. This role has a focus on Balance Sheet and P&L reporting so we are keen to hear from technical accountants who have the communication strength to be inquisitive, proactive and efficient in all things group reporting related.

Key duties & Skills

· Management of day to day finance department which covers AP, AR, Month End, General Ledger, VAT, Cash, Foreign currency, Group Accounts and Year End Accounts/Audit.

· A well embedded team consisting of long standing and experienced Qualified Accountants, Assistant Accountant, AP and AR specialists x 3.

· Strong understanding of finance reporting including internal controls, compliance, corporate governance, risk control.

· Accuracy and efficiency are key in this fast paced environment.

· Global environment so multi jurisdiction reporting in this role.

· Able to prepare full accounts to a robust timeline and confident in understanding and commenting commercially.

· Preparation of annual Budgeting and forecasting

· Various KPI reports

· Working Capital management/multicurrency/treasury.

· Statutory accounts prepared and presented.

· Head office reporting to Group.

· Preparation of all external bodies returns including VAT, Intrastat etc.

· Strong understanding of IFRS, international reporting standards.

· Regular review of current financial reporting processes with a view to enhancing and adding value.

· Strong IT skills and analytical skills

The Ideal person

· Fully qualified with a preference in financial reporting, corporate governance, risk etc.

· IFRS and reporting expert.

· Sound and proactive analytical and improvement skills.

· We will consider someone who is in industry or perhaps working at a senior level in Audit.
