Recruitment are thrilled to be partnering with a highly successful Construction
supplier based in Ballymena.
They are now recruiting for a Procurement
Officer to join the expanding procurement team. The purpose of the role is
resource suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This
role requires strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability
to source goods and services as efficiently as possible, to support the needs
of the overall business.
The Right role:
• Develop and implement procurement strategies
to optimise sourcing and supplier selection processes.
• Identify potential suppliers, conduct
supplier evaluations, and negotiate prices and terms of business with suppliers
and review opportunities to make business savings
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and
process improvement within the procurement function
• Liasing with other departments e.g.,
production, operations, and finance to align procurement activities with
business needs efficiently• Procure goods, materials, and services in line with
specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Work
with the Head of Procurement in managing supplier relationships and monitor
supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and
quality standards, to enable evaluation.
The Right Fit:
2+ years of experience in procurement, or a
supply chain role.
• Strong negotiation and contract management
skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and
Microsoft Office Packages.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
skills.
• Ability to work independently and
collaboratively with the procurement team.
